Stop the Abuse Now! was founded by John Benedict, Christian Minister and Counselor, 7th Degree Black Belt and Founder of the Seitouha Karate System.

John Benedict, Martial Artist and Christian Counselor:
Since High School, John Benedict has been inspired to help those in need. At age 15 he helped start and manage the Crisis Teen Hotline with his High School Key Club, which offered a free, anonymous, 24-hour telephone help hotline for troubled and suicidal teens.
After extensive martial arts training in traditional Goju Karate, John started to offer "Victims of Abuse Support Classes" along with his karate dojo members. The class served as a support group in addition to providing basic instructions in self-defense techniques and street smarts. John has been helping victims of abuse with these classes since the 1980's.
In 2010, John became an ordained Christian minister. He used his training and extensive real-life experience to help numerous individuals, families and marriages. He also opened a free food pantry, which, at one point, fed over 500 families per month.
Today, Mr. Benedict teaches martial arts full time and counsels regularly.
